Next Sunday, February 17, the Auditorium and Congress Center "Víctor Villegas" of Murcia will host a new concert of the "Bands in the Auditorium" Series 2018/2019, organized by the Federation of Music Bands of our Region, in which Abanilla is represented by the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" since 1995. In this Cycle collaborates the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia.
The Musical Association of Alhama de Murcia and the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" of Abanilla will be the two associations cited that day.
The participation of the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" will be complete as the stage of the Auditorium will be filled with the members of the entire Association:
-the young students that form the Voces Blancas Choir,
-the components of the Choir of the Music School "Pascual Lozano" and
-the musicians of the Band.
More than 100 people performing several compositions under the direction of Francisco José Blanco Corbalán, in a performance that will delight the audience and include a final surprise.
On January 15, 25 years of the constitution of the Musical Association of Abanilla (1994-2019) was completed, with the collaboration of the Hon.
City Council, has trained since its inception more than 200 musicians and is composed of three music bands and the School of Music "Pascual Lozano" with more than 100 students aged between 4 and 60 years and a teaching staff with higher qualifications in the different instrument specialties.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, several activities are being carried out throughout the year, including participation in this series of "Bands in the Auditorium" of Murcia and a tribute to the last director of the "Agrupación Musical Abanillense" (previous Band) ) and first director of the Musical Union "Santa Cruz", Pascual Lozano Martínez "El Coronel", 25 years after his death and 100 years after his birth.
