The deputy of the Socialist Group Yolanda Fernandez has said that the Community "does not guarantee that the company in charge of eliminating landfill leachates Abanilla will end this waste in a short period of time."
Fernandez, who has visited Friday the landfill along with the deputies of the socialist bloc Joaquín López and Consuelo Cano, expressed his "doubts about the ability of the two treatment plants to treat many leachates and has also asked analytics to understand the impact such leachates. "
Similarly, the Socialist deputy recalled that the Socialist parliamentary group has requested the corresponding health studies to determine how this issue affects the residents of the area.
Fernandez noted that "in addition to the implementing company, the regional administration is guilty of having allowed this environmental catastrophe, as it should have ensured that it would never come to this situation."
"As he told the construction manager the Ministry of Environment is securing and sealing pollutants vessels, although technicians say it will be difficult to realize the subsidiaro guarantee given at the time by the company."
Fernandez added that "no guarantee that these works prevent further leachate discharged".
