Culture program within the Plan of Exhibition Spaces the works of Antonio Tapia in Abanilla and Emilio Pascual in Puerto Lumbreras (09/11/2017)

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment offers this Friday, November 10, two new exhibitions of Antonio Tapia, in Abanilla, and Emilio Pascual, in Puerto Lumbreras, through the Exhibition Space Plan promoted by the regional government and that reaches 22 municipalities in the Region.

Antonio Tapia presents 'Guardianes de sueños' on Friday, at 8:00 p.m., at Edificio La Encomienda, in Abanilla, and can be visited until the 26th of this month.

The exhibition consists of twenty works and several showcases with the characters that have been a model for the paintings, ordered by historical periods: medieval, current and spatial fantasy.

Through the iconography of toys, the author tries to symbolize the image that each one creates of himself.

Puerto Lumbreras hosts the works of Emilio Pascual under the title 'The suitcase of the castaway', which also opens this Friday, at 8:00 pm, and will be on display until November 28 at the Casa de los Duendes Cultural Center.

It consists of oil paintings on canvas with which highlights an artistic concept based on the lived, natural, in the sensitivity of the look.

The author tries to express the beginning of a dialogue with painting, color and space.

The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, said that the Exhibition Spaces Plan "is a close initiative that connects the works of local artists with people, open to all audiences, and that extends the artistic creations throughout the Region ".

During 2017 a total of 54 samples can be seen in the municipalities.

Trajectory

Antonio Tapia (Murcia, 1965) is a plastic artist.

Promoted the creation of the COLECTIVO XXI cultural association.

He has given numerous international and national workshops with artists from the Region.

He has coordinated and participated in numerous exhibitions and has been director and promoter of the short film festivals 'Murcia en corto'.

In 2014 he launched the project 'Guardianes de sueños', an itinerant exhibition whose objective is to bring his work closer to small towns and places where art does not normally arrive.

He currently directs several artistic workshops in various town halls, and prepares exhibitions in various municipalities.

Emilio J. Pascual (Yecla, 1961) has a degree in Fine Arts and a high school professor.

He has extensive experience in solo and group exhibitions.

His work has recently been exhibited at the Almudí Palace and the Pedro Cano Foundation.

His work is characterized by the author's concern for creative renovation and focuses his work on painting as a generator of thought and reflection.
