| The Abanilla-based firm thus continues its work in solidarity with the main social organizations in the Region of Murcia | The Murcian company MasTrigo, specialized in the production of special breads and baked snacks, has made a new donation of its products for the neediest people in the Region of Murcia.

On this occasion, it has delivered to the three of the main social entities with which it regularly collaborates - Cruz Roja, Fundación Jesús Abandonado and Cáritas - a total of 3,000 units of varied products. "One of our values ??is the commitment to society, collaborating in a responsible way with our environment", explains Salvador Pina, CEO of the firm.

"We hope that, our little grain of sand, contributes and helps the people who need it most," he highlights. In this sense, José Manuel Selma, manager of MasTrigo, recalls that the last donation was made during the state of alarm decreed due to the pandemic.

"We do it out of responsibility and with respect for the essential work that these organizations carry out with families and people in situations of social exclusion," he says. Business reference MasTrigo is a benchmark in the specialized food sector worldwide and its projection led it to double its turnover in 2019 compared to the previous year, reaching two million euros.

In addition, it has recently obtained the most relevant international food safety seal: IFS Food 6.1. Likewise, in the face of the COVID-19 crisis, this Murcian company has reinforced its already demanding health protocols to guarantee the health of its staff and the quality of its products.

The measures include conducting coronavirus detection tests and daily temperature control of workers, disinfection of common areas, increasing the space between workstations, extension of shifts, or the distribution of mandatory use masks and hydroalcoholic gels . "We are the first link in the food chain and our hygiene measures are very high, because we have the responsibility to be the first to prevent the spread of the virus," says Pina.
