The community invests more than 82,000 euros in the new headquarters of the local police Abanilla (16/07/2009)

The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the mayor of Abanilla, Fernando Molina, today inaugurated the new headquarters of the local police of the municipality, located on Calle Pablo Picasso, which has seen a total investment of 150,000 euros, of which the Presidential and Public Administration, through the Directorate General of Local Government has provided 82,259 euros.

The reform of the facilities has resulted in the adaptation from a low of about 200 square meters with customer service area, three offices, changing rooms, toilets, gunsmith, seating area and an auditorium for holding courses and conferences, including other agencies.

In addition, the headquarters has a basement parking.

Reverte stressed that the works undertaken "will allow the 24 local police officers have Abanilla necessary and appropriate facilities to perform their tasks and to provide better service to citizens."

The Minister stressed the significant growth that the police staff Abanilla has experienced since the entry into force of the Regional Public Safety Plan, which has led to the town ten new agents are integrated into the SHU.

He further stated that, pursuant to the Security Plan, the City of Abanilla has received a grant of 35,500 euros, which was used for the purchase of a patrol car and two motorcycles.
