Abanilla will Center for Women and Point of Care for Children in the same building (01/03/2010)

The new Center for Women's Abanilla local share with the Point of Care for Children (EPI), whose foundation stone laid today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, accompanied by Mayor Fernando Molina, and director Women's Institute, Teresa Moreno.

The work has a deadline of eight months and the PAI can accommodate 41 children, four to 36 months.

The amount of the project is 586,667 euros, of which the Autonomous Community and the City will provide 470,000, 116,667 euros, including land value.

Point of Care for Children, located at street number 36 Plaza de Toros, is open 12 months of the year, from 8:00 to 18:00.

As for the center's activities are planned by the parents of a school, a kindergarten service, a summer school and additional workshops (puppet shows, dance, crafts).

In addition, the implementation of the PAI will create six jobs.

As for the Women's Center, will serve as, job search for women, education, equality and agency focal point for women victims of gender violence by roving Cavi.

Subsequently, the Minister, accompanied by the mayor and the managing director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Isabel Sola, visited the Senior Center, located at the House of the Knights.

This building was renovated a year ago, thanks to an agreement between the Department and the City for an amount of 39,935 euros.

This will improve the accessibility of the center and the general infrastructure, including installation of security and safety.

Have also been removed architectural barriers and enhanced lighting.

Nearly 42 million for Child Care

Last year, the Community 41,962,281 euros invested in setting up and maintenance of centers and Points of Care for Children in the Region, which will involve the construction of 86 CAI and PAI and the refurbishment and equipping of 24.

This figure equates to 8,218 subsidized spaces, of which 4,198 are already in service.

Currently, there are 47 centers under construction and this year is expected to start operating 25 CAI and PAI and the grant of 200,000 euros for equipment.
